Marshall's Honey

The delights and variety from this family-owned business gives new meaning to the word "honey".

Those of you from the Mid-west and other regions are familiar with honey that is mostly from the clover flower. But out in California, the bees are hard at work hitting up many more flora varieties to produce scrumptious and tantalizing sweetness for your enjoyment.

How many people know of the honey from Pumpkin???...... Lavender????........Eucalyptus??? ....Star Thistle???? ..... and many more!!!!!

We will be trying to bring to you some of these palate pleasing honeys to you as the season allows (and the bees).

Orange Blossom

California bees spend the early Spring pollinating the Orange Blossoms and gathering the nectar from the citrus delight of the orange to bring this light color and flowery taste honey.

Pumpkin Blossom

"Squashy" taste all its own. The bees take up a short residence in the pumpkin patch to pollinate the blossoms. After the short 3-4 week bloom the honey is harvested. A strong and seasonal honey.

CIA Honey

(no not investigative bees) Harvested from the beehives at the Organic Garden of the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone, St. Helena, Napa Valley, CA. A complex & herbacious honey. Harvested 4 times a year creates four distinct & delightful honeys from this one location.

Star Thistle

A honey to die for!!!!! A light color and taste that is all its own. A California mid to late summer bloom found on those barren hills. A yellow  spiked flower surrounded by nasty sharp spikes that is dreaded by ranchers but loved by beekeepers. Spikes protecting a nectar that is golden and delicious. An addictive sweet for one and  all!!!

Wild West Wildflower

A dark molasses-like honey which is their "cappings" honey..... last honey separated from the comb. It is heated to pull from the comb, which has a carmelizing to the honey. Makes for a great sauce addition for barbecueing.

Lavender Honey

A scarce  honey due to not many growers of lavender, but the hives are brought to the lavender fields of Sonoma County.

Wild Blackberry Honey

A late Spring - early Summer bloom, this is harvested from the hives in the Bay Area Wilds but the taste is mild. A honey that is not available every year we have in stock -ask for price
